The beginning - a great place to start

And so the story of me begins ... yes the story all about me ...

I had humble beginnings... well pretty humble beginnings for a knife. Of course I had dreamed of being owned by a prince - a young Saudi prince or by a great warrior. I dreamed of battles fought, of victories and adventures. But in the end .... well in the end I had pretty humble beginnings. I was a Christmas present for a young boy of 5. His parents decided to carve his name all over me which was tragic - I lost my lovely shinny red coat not to mention the pain of the tattoo knife! But the carving is slowly fading and I am becoming my own knife once more. The boy's English skills were pretty bad and I had a rough time understanding what he was trying to say ... he spoke some kind of mixed-up French with a weird accent. But the most exciting moment came when he was just 5 and he held me up to the neck of another kid. And why? Cause he thought he was stupid! Pretty cool huh! So that is my motto now! Down with the stupid people!

I got myself away from this kid but only to be landed with his sister. She liked carrying things and talked endlessly about maple syrup and some kind of mountie called Philip - it was all pretty tiring actually. But then my lucky day came! I met these two great kids from down under - from Australia! They were pretty cool and told me some great stuff about famous Australians such as Powder Finger, the Lock Ness monster (nessy as they liked to call him), Madonna, The Cat Empire, bread, Lleyton Hewitt, Avril Lavigne, stuff, Shania Twain, interesting stuff, Kangaroos, sandwiches, jokes, artificial banana lollies (except they weren't too proud of those), crocodiles, rocks, bicarbonate soda, Nicole Kidman, mountains, hobbits, water skiing, falafel, Heath Ledger, music, Pat Cash, the NASA space program, antiseptic cream (never underestimate it's value), pasteurised milk, cake (all sorts of cake), Pat Rafter, homogenised milk, Russell Crowe, white chocolate, crazy Aboriginal dancing etc. They were pretty funny so I left the sister and went to join them. I wouldn't mind visiting Australia some day as it sounds like the promised land!

But by this stage, I had developed a hunger for the open road - the wind in my blades and the sun on my bottle opener. So what did I do? I gave them the slip of course! I did the harry, took to the hills and got out of there!

So the purpose of this page - to send them clues - to send them on some kind of a crazy treasure hunt around the world. I will give them a helping hand by posting some photos and giving a few hints ... so let's see who wins!
